New build mortgage offers can be valid for a little longer. Some lenders will issue a 6 month offer and allow a 6 month extension to the offer or some can issue an offer which is valid for 9 months.

Some lenders’ mortgage offers will be valid for 6 months (as an example) from the day the offer is issued. Whereas some will be valid from the day the application was originally submitted.

When it comes to remortgaging, the offer validity can vary from lender to lender. Most will allow for 6 months, but some can only do 4 months or potentially 7 months. This is why we as brokers always need such accurate details of your current mortgage because it’s a main consideration factor with our recommendation.
